The COMPANY

Jafna de Paauw

Jafna started taking ballet lessons at age 4.
At age 8, she began gymnastics and eventually expanded her studies to include jazz and modern dance.

At 13, she took her dance education to a new level: she began training at the Dance Academy in Amsterdam. Just a year later, she was asked to join Dance Explosion, a semi-professional dance company based in Friesland. She stayed with this company until she was able to get into to the dance academy in Tilburg.

In 2007, she further expanded her repertoire when she began experimenting with ground and aerial acrobatics, fields in which she soon became proficient.

She is now focused on performing in challenging and innovative shows - including Stratosphere - as part of her work as a professional acrobat, dancer and aerialist, both in her home country and around the world.

Lance Spring

Lance's love affair with performing began while he was still at school. At 17, he went to Drama Academy in London.

Working in street theatre, he insists, taught him more about dance - and life - than the academy every did.

Through the years, he has created a number of solo and duo performance pieces and has been invited to perform at festivals and events in Australia, Japan, Canada, New Zealand, Korea and Singapore, among many other international destinations.

In recent years, he has focused on working with Jafna on the Stratosphere piece and on creating and performing in other equally compelling performance art programs.
He also enjoys co-operating with colleagues and performing arts organisations on projects of every type and size.
